Featuring over 20 million music fans from 155 countries, NEXT Music is blazing into classical by partnering with renowned violinist Tatiana Berman. Featuring music from artists like TI, Daddy Yankee, Lady Gaga and hundreds more, NEXT Music brings music to life via interactive gameplay and live streaming artist performances.

Experimenting with the classical genre was a step into unchartered waters for the app that focuses primarily on pop, but the risk is paying off. For the live streams, Tatiana’s garnered an average of 50k viewers who watched a 30 minute classical music performance on their smartphones… without an orchestra. Judging by the hundreds of comments posted during the performance, a lot of these users were experiencing live classical music for the first time.

NEXT Music has recently “gamified” two of Berman’s pieces, Vitali Variations and Handel’s Sarabande. If you’re familiar with Guitar Hero, then you’ll appreciate the process of “gamifying” a piece of music.

Strings of colored notes fly down the screen at a rapid pace and the user has to move their fingers in sync with the music. The complexity of classical music makes the game engaging and quite challenging to play. More classical artists and pieces are being added to the Next Music roster and will be announced in the coming months. Download the NEXT music app today in the app store.
